lot of noise from the bar area.Only one waitress who was also doing the bar work so service a bit disjointed. Food was not too bad.

An unusual pub for the district. A former miner's and working men's hostelry, it now offers a variety of reasons to visit: 1. On the right of the front door there is a friendly bar for locals and visitors. Well kept real ale (usually including products from the Glamorgan Brewery) is reliably available earning the pub a well deserved place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.2. What was until recently a large public bar/games room has been converted into a large dining room offering good quality meals.3. On the first floor are several very well appointed letting rooms, all en suite.4. There is a large lawn/children's play area at the rear. Ample parking, check opening hours with the website, FaceBook or by phone.
